Train2Game News Super Miniboss Controller

Inventive console accessories manufacturer Nyko today unveiled Super Miniboss, a wireless controller for the Super NES Classic Edition game console.
Designed to complement the retro style and feel of the console, Super Miniboss enables cord-free gameplay and features a turbo button for fast inputs. The addition of a turbo button make the Super Miniboss perfect for fast paced shooters games.

Super Miniboss is built specifically for the Super NES Classic Edition, and follows the success of Nyko’s Miniboss for the NES Classic console in 2016. Super Miniboss is now available for pre-order at GameStop.com and Nyko.com for an MSRP of $19.99, and will soon be available for pre-order on Amazon.com. The controller will begin shipping from GameStop and Nyko around the console’s launch, with Amazon.com to follow.

“Our original Miniboss wireless controller for the NES Classic allowed gamers to break free from the limitations of a wired controller and play from the comfort of their couches, and we wanted to extend this experience to the new SNES Classic Edition,” said Chris Arbogast, Nyko’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “Super Miniboss provides a simple, wireless alternative that doubles the gameplay range of the original corded controller and complements the style of the updated console.”

Super Miniboss Key Features:

-Precise button mashing action with complete wireless freedom

-Dedicated turbo button for super fast input

-Home screen functionality – just hold the turbo button and hit select

-Ergonomic face buttons, triggers, and a true D-Dad

    -Cord-free gameplay

Train2Game News Data Bank for PS4

Nyko Technologies today announced the release of the highly-anticipated Data Bank for PlayStation 4, a hard drive dock that enables users to upgrade their console memory capacity from the PS4’s standard 2.5” hard drive to cheaper, higher-capacity 3.5” hard drives.

“With the Data Bank, we’re offering a solution that expands the console’s functionality and provides gamers with the convenience of extra storage space,” said Nyko director of marketing, Chris Arbogast.

“With downloadable and hard copies of games taking up tens of gigs of storage against the stock 500GB hard drive, we’re facing the tough decision of choosing which game save to delete in favor of playing a new game. Nyko wants to make sure that never has to happen again.”

As the PlayStation 4 does not presently support game installs or save data on external hard drives, the Data Bank enables users to expand their storage beyond the limits of 2.5” drives currently compatible with the console. This ultimately lets users leverage the larger storage, faster running speeds, and lower prices of 3.5” drives.

The Data Bank for PS4 replaces the top of the console and its existing hard drive with a simple single-screw installation, and seamlessly matches the minimalist design of the PlayStation 4. A built-in LED strip illuminates whenever the console is accessing its memory.
