eBlitz are excited to announce that they have now gone multigaming!
This comes after users of the gaming/social app gave feedback of wanting more games brought to the platform. Initially it had only been Fortnite that the platform offered, but now, after app development, eBlitz offers close to 100 (and counting) of your favourite multiplayer game titles!
Arron Wu, the CEO of eBlitz, said: “We’re delighted to be releasing a multigame eBlitz platform for our users. Now, by offering more games to find teammates for, we believe we are giving users the best possible chance of having true gaming connections and experiences!”
This new update comes after an impressive few months of releases that have seen the eBlitz app change significantly by adding in a text chat and a team chat functionality. Now with the addition of multigaming, eBlitz has a platform open for all.
Head of Growth Luke Elden added: “We are massively excited to be bringing more games to eBlitz and the platform after our community feedback. This is a huge step forward for the app and there is still more to come!”
eBlitz is available for download on both Android and iOS on the Play Store and App Store respectively.
Earlier this year the British Esports Association selected the 2021 teams to represent Great Britain for this year’s Global Esports Games (GEG) 2021 in Singapore.
Teams from more than 80 countries competed last weekend at a medal event which didn’t include prize money. The 2021 games had tournaments in Street Fighter V, Dota 2 Open, Dota 2 Women and eFootball PES.
The inaugural games took place from December 17th-19th where Great Britain had teams and players competing for their chance to secure a medal. The teams were led by Vexed Gaming’s Chief Gaming Officer, Mark Weller, as team manager.
The Dota 2 Women’s team played on the main stage, securing a Silver medal to the hosting country Singapore.
Great Britain team manager Mark Weller commented “Closing out the first global esports games with a Silver medal and 2 close 4th place finishes (1-2 and 2-3) is a fantastic start for what could be a strong national programme, Our journey to Singapore was met with many struggles, but I feel we are building the foundations of something truly fantastic with your GB esports roster. I think we can walk away proud, showing that Great Britain is home to some exceptional talent and I look forward to building on these foundation’s we laid in 2021″.

Dota 2 Open
With an early start the Dota 2 Open team competed in their semi-finals game against Singapore. Despite their best efforts, Great Britain fell short against the home nation 0-2, ending their journey in the Global Esports Games 2021 with a 4th place finish.
Captain of the Great Britain Dota 2 Open team commented: “Unfortunately we did not reach the expectations we had but I’m happy we are able to learn from this experience so we can come back stronger next year.”
Dota 2 Women
Firstly, Great Britain faced Mongolia in the semi-finals with their chance to secure a spot in the grand finals. The team secured the victory 2-0 where their next game would see them face against the hosting country’s team: Singapore.
Heading onto the main stage, Great Britain started off the first match in the best-of-three series with a victory, putting themselves 1-0 up against Singapore. After a long game filled with nail-biting moments, the hosting country leveled up the series 1-1, taking it to its full lengths.
The final match saw the game running over 70 minutes long, where Singapore took the edge resulting in Great Britain securing a Silver medal finish.
Great Britain player Bellemiku commented: “From where we started in the beginning, I am so proud of how far we have come. We prepared for the matches to the best of our ability and our series vs Mongolia and Singapore showed that. We went into the finals with low expectations and winning that first match felt amazing, it’s a shame we couldn’t close out the series but the final 80 minute match just displays how close it really was. I’m very excited to see more opportunities like this in the future!”
eFootball 2022 PES
On December 17th the eFootball 2022 PES qualifiers took place, where MrMyClub1 was representing team Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The day started off strong with a victory against Hungary.
Moving into the next two sets of games against Montenegro and Libya, despite a valiant attempt from MrMyClub1, he wasn’t able to progress further in the tournament losing to both countries.
He commented: “Overall it’s been an incredible experience, very very competitive as I had imagined and just unlucky not to get through in the end as it was very close.”
Street Fighter V
The Street Fighter V action started off with a group stage where player Kim-Phillipe finished off with a clean sheet 4-0, progressing to the bracket stages of the tournament.
Countries within the group were: Paraguay, Singapore, Jamaica and Mongolia.
The following day The4Philzz took to the main stage against Brazil. Starting off 0-1 down, he later tied up the series with the character Falke. With the momentum of taking game two, he managed to close out the series 3-1 and secured his place in the semi-finals against Chinese Taipei.
Whilst the games were close, he unfortunately fell 1-3 in the semi-finals and is set to participate in a third-place match-up against Pakistan.
Pakistan took the series 3-1 in a heavily contested bout for the bronze medal, leaving Great Britain with a 4th place finish in the Street Fighter V tournament at the Global Esports Games 2021.
He commented: “My time at the Global Esports Games 2021 in Singapore was great! Started my group stages with a flawless 4-0 record. I then moved on to the top 8 qualifiers the next day. Many hard battles were fought and my journey ended in 4th place.”

The Game Awards, the video game industry’s year-end celebration, today announced that its eighth annual show set a new record with an estimated 85 million global livestreams.
With appearances from Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne-Moss, Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz, Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima, Simu Liu, Ming-Na Wen, Giancarlo Esposito and more, plus spectacular performances by Sting, Imagine Dragons (featuring Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett and J.I.D.) and The Game Awards Orchestra, conducted by Lorne Balfe, The Game Awards reaffirmed video game’s position as the preeminent force in global entertainment.
With an all-digital, no friction approach to global distribution, The Game Awards streamed live across more than 30 digital networks around the world, including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok Live, and Steam, as well as more than a dozen digital platforms in China and Disney+Hotstar, MTV, and other networks in India.
2021 viewership and engagement highlights include:
– On Twitter, The Game Awards delivered a record-setting 1.6 million tweets about the event in 2021, it’s best-ever performance. The show trended #1 worldwide for the 8th year in a row, commanding 11 out of the top 30 worldwide trends at the peak of conversation.
– On YouTube, the official livestream set a new record for watch time with over 1.75 million hours watched on the main feed (not including any co-streams), up 14% over 2020’s record-setting livestream.
– On Twitch, The Game Awards delivered 3.35M unique viewers across all participating channels, including co-streams.
-In China, The Game Awards reached new viewership peaks with double-digit growth on platforms including Bilibili, DouYu, Huya and Tencent Video.
– On the web, authenticated fan voting for the awards increased 27% YoY to more than 23.2 million on TheGameAwards.com and Bilibili in China.

The Game Awards gave fans a glimpse at what’s next in gaming and entertainment with more than 30 world premieres of upcoming projects, including Star Wars Eclipse, The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience, Alan Wake II, Sonic 2 and Sonic Frontiers, Wonder Woman, Horizon Forbidden West, and many more. Hazelight Studios’ It Takes Two won a total of three awards, including Game of the Year. Forza Horizon 5 from Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games, took home the honors for Best Sports/Racing Game, Innovation in Accessibility and Best Audio Design, and Bethesda and Arkane Studios’ Deathloop picked up Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction.

Retro Games have announced that the THEA500® Mini, a fully licensed reimagining of the much-loved 16-bit home computer, has now entered full production and is scheduled for release on March 25th 2022.
Over the past few months the final list of included games has been announced, culminating in today’s final game announcement, the seminal Stunt Car Racer from industry legend Geoff Crammond.
This ground-breaking game received high praise from press around its launch in 1989, including a 93% in Amiga Format magazine and 92% in CU Amiga-64. Other recently announced games include Arcade Pool and Project-X Special Edition 93 from Team 17, F-16 Combat Pilot from Digital Integration and Super Cars II from Gremlin.
This brings the full games list to 25, every one a highly regarded and critically acclaimed Amiga classic.
In addition, if you own other original Amiga games, these can be played via USB stick utilising the WHDLoad functionality of the THEA500®. With users able to tweak setup, controller options and display settings.
The launch stock of the THEA500® Mini is expected to leave the manufacturing plant in early January 2022. In addition, due to many fan requests, standalone “solus” packs of the Mouse and Gamepad will also be made available in selected territories.

Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories featuring Eivor and Kassandra are available now.
Both stories are available for free for owners of the respective base games, with one story featuring Eivor and Kassandra available in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and one story featuring Kassandra or Alexios available in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories is the first cross-game project in the franchise, led by Ubisoft Quebec in close collaboration with Ubisoft Montreal.
The content aims at answering the question “What happens when two Assassin’s Creed heroes meet?”, allowing fans to deepen their experience in the franchise and exploring the ties between the heroes of the two games, and featuring new environments to explore as well as a rich storyline.
For the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla crossover story, A Fated Encounter, players must have reached Settlement Level 4 and completed the quest “A Wise Friend,” where Eivor helps Valka establish herself in Ravensthorpe.
For the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey crossover story, Those Who Are Treasured, players will need to have completed Chapter 1 and reached Megaris to access the content, but it’s recommended that players finish the main game’s three story arcs (Family, Cult of Kosmos and Mythology) to avoid spoilers.
As part of Ubisoft’s 35th Anniversary celebrations, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be available to play for free for a limited time from 16th December to 19th December on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Stadia, and Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store and Steam.

The highly anticipated global fundraiser, Game2Give, which just launched its annual fundraising campaign on December 2, 2021, has already raised over ONE MILLION DOLLARS!
The event is on track to meet its goal of raising vital funds that will benefit Bungie Foundation’s newly expanded core initiatives, including Disaster Relief and Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity, with plans to create a larger global footprint.
Game2Give hopes to reach or exceed this incredible fundraising milestone by December 15, 2021, the campaign’s final fundraising day.
The event has attracted the support of a large number of gamers and influencers, who have joined the action to help raise awareness and funds.
On December 8, 2021, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Gernader Jake, who has already raised over $11,000, will stream while raising additional funds for Game2Give on Twitch. On December 9, 2021, from 12:00 am – 2:00 am, Ninjy, who will host a stream for the third consecutive year, will raise funds to support Game2Give on Twitch.
