Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl

Both games will be released on Friday, November 19, 2021, and are currently available for preorder with special early-purchase bonuses.[1]

A commemorative Pokémon GO event will also take place in-game to celebrate the launch of both titles from Tuesday, November 16, 2021, to Sunday, November 21, 2021. More details will be released on the official Pokémon GO Twitter page as well as on the official Pokémon GO blog.

New information revealed today also includes the following.

The Boss and Commanders of the Mysterious Team Galactic
As players explore Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, they’ll cross paths with friends and opponents alike.

  Cyrus and Weavile
A charismatic figure who rules over Team Galactic. Cyrus always speaks and acts with a calm, logical demeanor. He detests human minds and emotions, finding them defective.

  Mars and Purugly
Mars is a strong-willed commander who hates to lose and has sworn loyalty to Cyrus. Her passion for Pokémon sometimes inspires powerful emotional outbursts. Her partner Pokémon is Purugly.

  Jupiter and Skuntank
Jupiter has a mysterious air about her. She is certainly skilled at Pokémon battles, but she’s willing to do anything—even steal other people’s Pokémon—to achieve her goals. Her partner Pokémon is Skuntank.

  Saturn and Toxicroak
Saturn is a cool and collected commander. Despite being one of the few who occasionally harbor doubts about Cyrus’s plans, Saturn is cold and dispassionate enough to carry out his orders faithfully. His partner Pokémon is Toxicroak.

The Toughest Pokémon Trainers in Town: Gym Leaders

  Candice and Abomasnow
Gym Leader Candice of the Snowpoint City Gym uses Ice-type Pokémon, with Abomasnow heading her team. Known as the Diamond Dust Girl, she’s a passionate Trainer who really emphasizes the value of focus.

  Volkner and Luxray
Gym Leader Volkner of the Sunyshore City Gym uses Electric-type Pokémon, with Luxray heading his team. He’s said to be the strongest Gym Leader in the Sinnoh region, but he’s grown bored by a lack of tough challengers, so he spends his time constantly remodeling the Gym.

Legendary Pokémon Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf
These three Legendary Pokémon appear in the myths of the Sinnoh region. According to the people of Sinnoh, Uxie is the Being of Knowledge, Mesprit is the Being of Emotion, and Azelf is the Being of Willpower. How will these three Pokémon be involved in your adventure?

Three Lakes that Represent the Sinnoh Region
Sinnoh features three lakes filled with bountiful water: Lake Acuity, Lake Verity, and Lake Valor. It is said that Legendary Pokémon slumber at the bottom of these lakes.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus
In addition to the early-purchase bonus of the Hisuian Growlithe Kimono Set,[2] the Baneful Fox Mask will be gifted to early purchasers of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Players can don this unique Hisuian Zoroark–themed Baneful Fox Mask as they enjoy their adventures in the Hisui region![3]

Introducing the Newly Discovered Hisuian Forms of Zorua and Zoroark

  Hisuian Zorua
Category: Spiteful Fox Pokémon
Type: Normal/Ghost
Height: 2’4″ (0.7 m)
Weight: 27.6 lbs. (12.5 kg)

Reborn as a Ghost-Type Using the Power of Spite
These Zorua migrated to the Hisui region after being driven from other lands by humans, who shunned the Pokémon for manifesting uncanny illusions. But the Zorua perished, unable to survive the harsh Hisuian environment and strife with other Pokémon. Their lingering souls were reborn in this Ghost-type form through the power of their malice toward humans and Pokémon.

Disguising Themselves and Feeding on Targets’ Terror
If Hisuian Zorua spot a lone person or Pokémon, the Zorua may appear before them in a guise mimicking the target’s appearance. Unlike the illusions of the previously discovered form of Zorua, these ghostly mimicries are created using spiteful power emitted from the long fur on Hisuian Zorua’s head, around its neck, and on its tail.

  Hisuian Zoroark
Category: Baneful Fox Pokémon
Type: Normal/Ghost
Height: 5’3″ (1.6 m)
Weight: 160.9 lbs. (73 kg)

Cursed Illusions Erupt Forth from Its Voluminous Coat
The spiteful power emitted from Hisuian Zoroark’s long, writhing fur projects terrifying illusions—and can also inflict physical harm upon foes, damaging their bodies from both inside and out. And the illusions that Zoroark projects have expressions of such utter malice toward every last thing upon this world that those who see them are said to be driven mad by the terror.

A Pokémon with an Unexpected Soft Side
Hisuian Zoroark is ferociously hostile and aggressive toward people and other Pokémon. But it appears to have a compassionate streak for those it considers close or like family.

Train2Game News Voting Opens For 39th Golden Joystick

Voting opens today in the 39th Golden Joystick Awards presented by GamesRadar+, the world’s largest public-voted games awards show, attracting millions of votes every year.

Players from all over the world will decide which games, developers, publishers and personalities will take home this year’s Golden Joystick Awards.

Fans are invited to vote in 20 categories including ‘Best Storytelling’, ‘Best Studio’, ‘Most Wanted’ and the coveted ‘Ultimate Game of the Year’.

Voting closes at 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT / 11pm GMT on Friday, November 5.

This year the awards are also celebrating ‘50 Years of Games’* with two special awards – ‘Ultimate Game of All Time’ and ‘Best Gaming Hardware of All Time’. These two special awards will open for voting once the main voting categories close in early November.

All the winners will be revealed in a virtual celebration of games on Tuesday, November 23 with an all-digital awards show across all major streaming platforms.

Daniel Dawkins, Content Director, Games explains more: “Last year’s Golden Joystick Awards was our first all-digital show – and our most-viewed awards ever, reaching over 12 million total views. For 2021, we’re streamlining the viewing experience by trimming the number of categories and nominees in each shortlist, allowing us to focus on key awards and the brilliant people who drive the games industry forward.

“Trimming the shortlists has made judging even more hotly-debated than ever, but we’re thrilled at the diversity of this year’s nominees, which reflect the importance of indie games and long-running service games during 2021 where a number of high-profile titles have faced unavoidable delays. We’re thrilled to see Wildermyth and Psychonauts 2 leading the shortlist with four nominations each, alongside huge titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone, Resident Evil Village and Ratchet and Clank.

“This year’s Golden Joystick Awards is really special, since we’ll be celebrating 50 Years of Games, and the launch of the world’s first commercially available coin-op, Computer Space in November 1971. You can look forward to a sweeping retrospective of the industry we love so much – including some of its most-loved games and faces – plus an evolution of our virtual-stage from last year’s show. To cap it all, we’ll be inviting people to vote for their Ultimate Game of All Time and Best Gaming Hardware of All Time – which I’m sure won’t be contentious at all.”

The 2021 Golden Joystick Awards public voted categories are:

  • Best Storytelling
  • Best Multiplayer Game
  • Best Visual Design
  • Best Game Expansion
  • Best Audio
  • Best Performer
  • Best Indie Game

Train2Game News Acer Announce New Gaming PC

Acer today announced the expansion of its Predator gaming portfolio with new Predator Orion 7000 series desktops, featuring powerful performance in a stunning design, and two smart 4K gaming projectors.

Further enhancing the gaming experience is the Predator gaming desk, which offers two practical surface options and a convenient storage rack.

“Predator Orion 7000-series desktops are premium, powerful rigs for serious players who demand incredible performance from even the most demanding titles,” said Jeff Lee, General Manager, Stationary Computing, IT Product Business, Acer Inc.

“In order to offer that next-level performance, we’re excited to be among the first companies bringing the new 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs to our product portfolio.”

“12th Gen Intel Core desktop processors are a huge innovative leap forward for game performance and industry-leading memory, I/O and connectivity,” said Marcus Kennedy, General Manager of Gaming and Esports, Intel.

“Powering the pinnacle of its performance is the new performance hybrid architecture that combines two all-new compute cores to deliver blistering performance for high frame rates and multi-tasking performance that modern gamers expect.”

Predator Orion 7000 – Upgradeable, Liquid-Cooled Gaming PC
The powerful new Predator Orion 7000 series (PO7-640) gaming desktops provide users with everything necessary to take on the latest generation games—and the next. Designed for hard-core gaming enthusiasts, these new upgradeable gaming PCs will be equipped with the latest 12th Gen Intel® Core overclockable processors, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 series GPUs[[1]], and up to 64 GB DDR5-4000 RAM.

The stunning, EMI-compliant chassis features transparent, tempered glass side panels showcasing two 140 mm (5.5-inch) Predator FrostBlade 2.0 front fans and a third 120 mm (4.7-inch) Predator FrostBlade 2.0 rear fan that can be lit with a dazzling array of ARGB colours. The top of the Orion 7000’s case features an opening, making it possible for users to replace this 120 mm (4.7-inch) fan with a 240 mm (9.45-inch) one, while integrated PredatorSense software lets gamers control the ARBG lighting, fan speed and overclocking. Accenting the bold lighting and design is an illuminated teal blue Predator logo on the chassis’ front and an easily accessible teal prism-refraction power button on the system’s top.

Beyond these eye-catching aesthetics is exceptional thermal management, with the three aforementioned Predator FrostBlade 2.0 fans in addition to an AIO liquid CPU cooler and advanced airflow management to effectively cool system components. The FrostBlade fan’s thin and curved blades are designed to smoothly increase airflow without causing turbulence and to quickly dissipate heat. In addition, the fan’s wear-resistant and fully-sealed rifle bearings prevent lubricant leaks and the ingress of dust in order to maintain stability and extend the computer’s lifespan.

Intel® Killer 2.5G LAN gives gamers a competitive edge by detecting and prioritizing game traffic over other network traffic, resulting in smoother and faster connectivity for online games and streaming media. Intel® WiFi 6E (AX211)[1] and 2×2 MU-MIMO technology provide fast and secure wireless connectivity. A gaming beast, the Predator Orion 7000 provides plenty of ports for leveraging the latest gaming accessories. On the chassis’ front for quick access are three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C, and two audio jacks. On the back, there are three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, two USB 2.0 ports, and three audio jacks.

Featuring ample storage, the rig includes a 2.5-inch USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C hotswap drive bay, 2x M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVIMe SSDs (up to 1 TB each) and two 3.5-inch SATA3 HDD (up to 3 TB each).

Predator GD711 and Predator GM712 Gaming Projectors
The Predator GD711 is a smart 4K LED gaming projector that is compatible with both console and PC gaming systems. The projector also features a built-in app market[[2]] that offers users access to a variety of streaming services. The Predator GD711 features a wide color gamut that amounts to 125% of the area ratio of Rec. 709[[3]], covering most of the color space within the gamut in addition to a significant area outside of it to offer gamers impressive levels of colour saturation. 4,000 LED lumens of brightness, high dynamic contrast and HDR10 performance ensures that content looks brilliant.

The projector includes several modes that users can shift between depending on their mood. Standard mode offers 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution for enjoying movies and videos in sharp detail, while two game modes—one for bright scenes, another for dark ones—let users pick frame settings optimized for the aesthetics of the game they’re playing. The Predator GD711 projects images with a variable refresh rate mode[[4]] of 1080p@120 Hz for consoles or up to a blazing fast 1080p@240 Hz for PCs, delivering buttery smooth performance even in the busiest of scenes. Furthermore, projecting at just 23 dBa when in ECO mode, this game-ready home theatre won’t break your immersion, either.

The Predator GD711 features a throw ratio of 1.22, which means it supports a wide range of throw sizes. Acer’s recommendation is a 100-inch screen thrown from just 2.70 m (8.85 ft). It also comes with the convenience of a 10W speaker and remote control that has an antimicrobial[[5]] coating on its surface and buttons. Excellent airflow dissipates heat, helping to deliver a long 30,000-hour lifespan. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 ports for PCs and consoles, audio out for an extra speaker and three USB Type-A ports: One for the projector’s hidden wireless dongle, another for connecting wireless accessories, and another for DC 5V-out that also enables users to update the device’s firmware.

For users who prefer lamp-based projectors, the Predator GM712 is also available with 4K resolution and 3,600 ANSI lumens of brightness.

Predator Gaming Desk
The large 55-inch Predator gaming desk (PGD110) provides ample room for a gaming system, monitor, accessories, and more. Gamers can choose from two surfaces: one coated in easy-to-clean, stylish carbon fibre or another covered with a custom-designed Predator mouse pad. Outfitted with ample storage space, the Predator gaming desk comes with a rack for storing gamepads and/or cartridges, a headphone hook, a cup holder, and a tray tucked in the back for AC adapters. It also has the convenience of a headset cradle to save desk space, a cup holder to prevent spills, and a cable management cutout on each side of the desk to keep cables organized and out of the way. The desk is sturdy with the ability to hold up to 120 kg (264 lbs).
