PAC-MAN: BIRTH OF AN ICON is the first-ever history of the yellow muncher.
Deep-diving into its genesis, design, early marketing and cultural impact, the 350-page book offers surprising new insights into the “Mickey Mouse of the Eighties.”
The book was made in conjunction with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Ltd., and gives voice to the people who were there at PAC-MAN’s birth in Japan in 1979/1980, who oversaw its design overhaul and mass production at Midway’s in Chicago, and who plotted its remarkable role as the first video game icon to be used in mass consumer marketing.

The book will be available worldwide to readers late October, in two editions.

In keeping with this year’s PAC-TIVE theme, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. has partnered with both Giants Enterprises (the entrepreneurial arm of the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball team), and National Basketball Association (NBA) for exciting activities and collaborations that encourage fans to get up and get PAC-TIVE!
Avid runners can register for the Giant Race’s 2021RUN series, a year-long San Francisco Giants baseball-focused fitness program that includes monthly virtual challenges alongside four races traditionally held in Scottsdale, Sacramento, San Jose, and San Francisco.

Bringing PAC-MAN back to his original gaming roots, we encourage all PAC-MAN fans to celebrate his 41st anniversary by playing some of his most recent releases; PAC-MAN™ Mega Tunnel Battle exclusively available on Stadia and playable for free with Stadia Pro, PAC-MAN™ WAKA WAKA available for select Amazon Alexa devices (including Echo Show devices, Fire TV Cube, and screen-based devices like Samsung TVs with Alexa Built-in), and PAC-MAN™ 99 available for the Nintendo Switch system.

Players can now pre-order the Day One edition or the TV Edition of Little Nightmares IIon Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC Digital. The Day One edition of the game will give players access to the Nomes’ Attic, an exclusive DLC for Little Nightmares II as well as a mini-soundtrack, composed by Tobias Lilja.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe has announced the worldwide release date for the highly anticipated SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION on Nintendo Switch™ and PC.
This will be the first game in the series to be released in the West when it arrives on 5th April, 2019.
SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION takes place in Hero Town, an alternate reality where a Dragon Ball card game is the most popular form of entertainment. Players take on the role of Beat, the protagonist of SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION, and follow his journey to become the world champion of Super Dragon Ball Heroes.
However, when the villains from the virtual game world appear in Hero Town and start wreaking havoc, Beat jumps into the game world and teams up with famous Dragon Ball characters to restore peace in the real world.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe has announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! is the latest franchise that will feature in JUMP FORCE, that is set to release in 2019.
Joining the roster of JUMP FORCE is Yugi Muto, the hero of Yu-Gi-Oh! JUMP FORCE brings together the greatest heroes and villains from over the 50-year history of Shueisha’s influential Japanese manga Weekly Shonen Jump to fight for the fate of their world and ours.
Yu-Gi-Oh!’s story takes place in a world where a card game: Duel Monsters, is one of the largest aspects of everyday life. The game can bring fortune and fame to its champions, or demise to those less fortunate.
The main protagonist, Yugi Muto, is a lonely boy who loves playing the game but was never blessed with talent. After finding and solving the Millennium Puzzle, an ancient and powerful artefact, Yugi unknowingly became host to Dark Yugi, the spirit of the long deceased Pharaoh Atem. The Pharaoh’s spirit possess and takes control of Yugi in times of danger, he is able to become one of the greatest Duel Monsters players in the world.

Today, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe can reveal three new playable characters from classic manga series Bleach and one new stage for the upcoming title JUMP FORCE.
Bleach follows the exploits of fiery teenager Ichigo Kurosaki who inherits the powers of a Shinigami (soul reaper), which sees him take on the duty of defending humans from evil spirits and travel to ghostly realms to protect them. Joining the roster of JUMP FORCE, which sees the greatest heroes and villains from the 50-year history of Shueisha’s influential Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump manga do battle, are three iconic names from Bleach:
Ichigo Kurosaki – Once a simple high school student with the ability to see ghosts, Ichigo became one of the strongest ever Shinigami (soul reapers) after his encounter with a Hollow (a spectral being) that tried to kill him.
Rukia Kuchiki – Rukia is a soul reaper from a noble family who specialises in Kido (the magic of the soul reapers). Her ice-type blade is considered to be amongst the most beautiful swords of the Souls Society.
Sōsuke Aizen – A captain of the Gotei 13, Aizen is a mysterious man. While calm on the surface, behind this serene appearance is perhaps one of the most skilled members of the Soul Society.
Also revealed today is the new Hong Kong stage, one of Jump Force’s many real-world locations. Set at street-level, manga characters will be illuminated by neon lanterns and the dazzling lights of a rain-soaked city as they battle in the shadow of Blackbeard’s mysteriously crashed ship.

MY ARCADE, US Based Retro Gaming specialist, and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc., have joined forces and are set to announce two new gaming devices filled with Classic NAMCO games at this year’s E3.
The new machines further expand the line of products borne out of the partnership, which already includes a set of Micro Player Arcades featuring classic titles such as PAC-MAN™, GALAGA™, and DIG DUG™.
The NAMCO Museum Mini Player will be packed with 20 classic titles and features a large vertical-oriented screen for authentic arcade gameplay. It also features dual front facing speakers for optimal sound, a detachable joystick, and back-lit marquee and coin trap. All of the titles included on the device are the original arcade versions of the games, unless there was no original arcade version available. The Namco Museum Mini Player™ is slated to release Holiday 2018.
The PAC-MAN Pocket Player is a brand new 16-bit handheld console designed by My Arcade that is compact, portable, ergonomically designed, and boasts a full color screen. The Pocket Player™ will include three classic PAC-MAN titles, including original arcade favorite PAC-MAN, along with PAC-PANIC™ and PAC-MANIA™. The Pocket Player will be available starting July 2018 at retailers such as Walmart and Amazon.
