Train2Game News Earn Crypto for Squatting

OliveX (HK) Limited (“OliveX”) and Lympo announce Lympo Squat, the mobile app that rewards users with Lympo tokens (LYM) for performing squat exercises.

Lympo Squat is powered by human pose artificial intelligence (AI) technology to analyze the user’s movements and provide real-time feedback. Lympo Squat is now available globally free of charge for Apple and Android devices on the App Store and Google Play.

In Lympo Squat, adults of any age can participate in up to six daily squat challenges, tracked and assessed by the app’s AI software and the smartphone’s camera. Lympo Squat rewards users with cryptocurrency for performing squats: 3 LYM for successfully performing a challenge, plus extra bonuses for completing a streak. Users can cash out LYM to their own cryptowallets at any time in blocks of 1,000. LYM can be bought or sold on various cryptocurrency exchanges or used directly to purchase sporting goods on https://shop.lympo.com.

LYM crypto tokens have monetary value and are issued by Lympo, the first blockchain company to reward users with cryptocurrency for engaging in physical activity. Lympo has partnerships with major brand names including the NBA basketball team the Dallas Mavericks and Caroline Wozniacki, one of the most recognizable female athletes in the world.

Squats are among the most prevalent and useful forms of strength exercises. Strength exercises can stimulate bone growth, control blood sugar, help with weight loss, improve balance, posture, muscle and ligament strength and function, while reducing back and joint pain. Various health organizations including the American Heart Association recommend strength training at least twice per week.

Lympo Squat uses human pose AI technology and the front camera of a mobile device to help users to perform squat exercises, tracking 17 points on the human body in order to analyze a user’s squatting performance and provide real-time feedback.

Lympo Squat leverages gamification and cryptocurrency to keep users exercising over the long term. In addition to earning cryptocurrency for every set of squats, the app includes gamified features designed to motivate users to develop the habit exercising regularly. Lympo Squat’s exercises are conveniently done indoors and at any time without hassle, equipment, or advance preparation.

Keith Rumjahn, CEO of OliveX, said: “The hardest part of keeping New Year’s resolutions is perseverance. It’s easy to exercise on a good day, but it’s really hard to do so regularly over several weeks to build a healthy and long-term exercise habit. Lympo Squat gives players something to look forward to every day, using gamification and crypto rewards to help users achieve a healthy regular exercise habit that is both easy and convenient.”

Train2Game News The Sandbox wants your Art

Pixowl, a leading creator of world building experiences that was recently acquired by Animoca Brands (ASX: AB1), announced today that its forthcoming decentralized blockchain gaming platform, The Sandbox, is launching a massive $2 million USD Creator Fund to support artists around the globe making and sharing amazing creations on its platform.

The Sandbox is a community-driven platform where creators can monetize voxel assets and gaming experiences. The Sandbox has already achieved 40M installs and 1.2M monthly active players on mobile, and Pixowl will soon launch a decentralized version built on the blockchain, which will allow PC and Mac users to monetize the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) they use in the game. The Sandbox for blockchain aims to disrupt the market by providing the first blockchain platform offering the large community of creators its own NFT builder gaming ecosystem.

“With The Sandbox, we are developing the first User Generated Content NFT marketplace and providing a decentralized future for content discovery,” said Arthur Madrid, CEO and Co-Founder of Pixowl and The Sandbox. “Our new Creator Fund offers an attractive option for creators to really own their assets while benefiting through publishing their creations on our platform.”

In The Sandbox, any creative person can make their very own static or animated voxel objects. It’s as easy as using children’s toy building blocks, and the creative process is aided by the platform’s powerful, intuitive VoxEdit tool that will allow anyone to create and animate NFT objects from scratch or import existing creations.

For the first time, creators will be able to publish their voxel creations on the blockchain as NFTs, virtual tokens ensuring digital scarcity, security and authenticity without the limitations of central control. Models made by artists will be unique and their scarcity provable on the blockchain in perpetuity, allowing them to be freely and securely traded in The Sandbox as well as on third-party NFT marketplaces including OPSkins/WAX, a leading NFT exchange, and many others. With true ownership of their NFTs, creators will hold a vested interest in success of The Sandbox.

“The combination of the Creator Fund and our VoxEdit toolset provide an incentive for artists to get into The Sandbox early, potentially making their NFT assets the go-to models in their respective category,” said Arthur Madrid. “We want to fast track our vision of a voxel building platform online, as titles like Minecraft and Roblox have shown that creators of all ages can build online user generated content beautifully and at scale—anyone can build a ‘digital LEGO’ with almost no learning curve or special skills.”

The Sandbox’s Creator Fund is an initiative supporting all talents without any distinction of age, sex or country of origin. The fund will predominantly be used to reward and incentivize artists to submit original voxel models via grants on a per asset basis. Artists will be able to register to qualify for grants, submitting their voxel models to The Sandbox team for approval. The Creator Fund is a revolving fund that will be replenished using transaction fees from the game’s Marketplace, scheduled to launch in Q2 2019.

Artists can visit fund.sandbox.game to sign up today to get notified when the Fund begins accepting applications.

Voxel artists and creators are invited to learn more about VoxEdit at sandbox.game/editor and get involved into the community through The Sandbox Discord channel at discord.gg/vAe4zvY. Community members will be considered for early access to the first public beta of VoxEdit, expected to launch before end of year.

Further details on the Creator Fund will be unveiled on the company’s Medium channel at medium.com/sandbox-game in the future.

Train2Game News Help Fundraising

War Child UK today launched its latest instalment of the legendary Help fundraising campaign, developed alongside its US fundraising partner Children in Conflict.

Available to download now on Android via Google Play and Amazon Appstore, HELP features five brand new games available in one app, published by PlayStack, with all proceeds going to support War Child UK’s projects around the world.

Berlin-based Wooga, creators of hit story-driven casual mobile titles like June’s Journey and Tropicats, has brought to the table the chaotic ‘Rupert, Sell ‘em Don’t Break ‘em’, in which players take control of a clumsy elephant doing his best not to smash up his own work place – an antique store filled with delicate china goods.

A stalwart of War Child’s gaming activity, Football Manager creator Sports Interactive returns this year with new title ‘Tickets Please’, letting players take up the mantle of a train conductor that must check passengers’ tickets for validity while under the pressure of time and progressively grumpier commuters.

Mobile gaming giant Gameloft, maker of the enormously popular Asphalt series, has created ‘Fifty Buddies’. Players take charge of the fate of fifty jelly babies racing around a track, desperately dodging wrecking balls and avoiding traps.

Finally, Featherweight Games introduces ‘Mediocre Housekeeping’, which is the most fun a gamer will ever have putting their laundry away.

“The mobile games industry offers a great opportunity to engage and entertain millions across the globe,” said Adam Holmes, Gaming Partnerships, at War Child UK. “It’s been amazing to see the industry rally behind HELP, and we’re blown away by the games that have been created in just six days. Our partners in this represent the best in mobile gaming talent and we’re hugely grateful for their support.”

HELP on Google Play Store and Amazon Appstore will cost £2.99 – the price of a coffee – and 100% of net proceeds will go to War Child.

“HELP demonstrates what can be achieved through the combined endeavours of five great studios – and it shows the appetite in the industry to give back,” said Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive. “For a small donation, less than a price of a pint, these awesome games will be yours and the life of an innocent child who has been affected by war will be transformed for the better, as will your soul.”

“It’s inspiring to see so many profoundly creative people work together for such a worthy cause,” said Harvey Elliott, Chief Executive at publisher PlayStack. “We’re deeply honoured to be involved and support through publishing the release in the app stores.”

HELP has had industry support from more than just developers too – partners goGame, Unity, Adjust, The ASO Co, SEGA Forever, TapJoy, Venatus Media, Vungle and Silver Linings QA have all been part of bringing the project to life and helping create the most enjoyable method of donating to a good cause in years.

Train2Game News Diablo Immortal

Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the next game in the storied Diablo® franchise, Diablo Immortal™, a mobile massively multiplayer online action–role-playing game for Android™ and iOS devices.

For the first time ever, Diablo players will be able to answer the call to battle on their phones.

Six iconic and highly customisable Diablo character classes will be available in Diablo Immortal—Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard—each with new powers and abilities, with more playable classes planned for future updates. Designed to be a living, breathing, and constantly evolving experience, Diablo Immortal will regularly introduce new storylines, new playable character classes, new loot, and all-new challenges—which you can face side-by-side with your friends . . . or foolishly choose to confront on your own.

Players will have many opportunities to meet and socialize with other demon slayers while wandering the wilds of Sanctuary, or while conducting less-dangerous business—like upgrading gear, crafting items, or forming groups before setting off on their next adventure—in the city of Westmarch, Diablo Immortal’s sprawling central hub.

In their quest to cleanse Sanctuary, players will embark on all manner of thrilling expeditions, including taking part in dynamic events across unique public zones, and hacking and slashing their way through instanced dungeons. From the peaceful town of Wortham to the ancient Library of Zoltun Kulle to the suffocating jungle island of Bilefen, players will explore familiar vistas and until-now undiscovered corners of Sanctuary.

Diablo Immortal is a collaboration between Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase Games, who in addition to having developed some of the most successful mobile games in history, have been a longtime partner of Blizzard in China.

‘Diablo Immortal takes the series’ dark, gothic fantasy world of Sanctuary and inimitable Diablo gameplay, and puts it in your pocket,’ said J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment. ‘With their incredible passion for Diablo and proven mobile expertise, the development team has spawned an ultra-responsive and breathtakingly beautiful mobile game, and we can’t wait for players to get their hands on it.’

The transition from mouse-and-keyboard or controller to mobile touchscreen device was designed to feel completely natural, intuitive, and fun in Diablo Immortal. Directional controls make it easy to move heroes around the world, and activating a skill is as easy as holding a thumb down on a skill to aim, then releasing it to unleash hell on your foes. And reinforcements are always only a tap away thanks to the native Blizzard Battle.net® UI designed specifically for Diablo Immortal, which allows you to chat and form groups with ease in the middle of the most frantic battle.

This new chapter of the blockbuster Diablo saga takes place between the end of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction® and the beginning of Diablo III. Leading the invasion of Sanctuary is the demon known as Skarn, Herald of Terror—Diablo’s most powerful lieutenant—who now rallies a new demonic army. Skarn intends to gather the fragments of the corrupted Worldstone and use them to resurrect Diablo.

Those eager to join the fight are encouraged to visit http://www.diabloimmortal.com to pre-register for special rewards and be among the first to experience Diablo Immortal. Pre-registered players are eligible to participate in future beta tests and earn in-game rewards, as well as receive news and updates.

Train2Game News Old School RuneScape Mobile Launch

Old School RuneScape will launch on iOS and Android devices on Tuesday 30th October, Jagex announced.

The MMORPG offers a full cross-platform experience on mobile and PC, and will be available for members and non-members to enjoy.
Jagex also confirmed Old School RuneScape is now available to Pre-Order and Pre-Register from the App Store and Google Play at https://osrs.game/MobilePreRegistration.

John Colgrave, Producer, Old School RuneScape Mobile said:
“The next few weeks are going to be incredibly exciting for myself, the Old School RuneScape mobile team, and for Jagex as a whole, as we count down towards the 30th October launch date. It’s been an incredible journey for us; we’ve worked tirelessly to bring the full Old School RuneScape adventure to mobile platforms, as well as enable a seamless cross-platform experience for our current, returning, and new players! Today’s invitation to Pre-Order and Pre-Register the game on the App Store and Google Play is a hugely significant one, and we can’t wait to throw open the doors next month.”

The highly-anticipated announcement comes after this summer’s extensive and overwhelmingly successful ‘Members Only Beta’, in addition to soft launches in Canada and Nordic countries, which have already seen some 500,000 Android players continue their adventures while on the move, on the sofa, or poolside on vacation.

Conor Crowley, Director of Game Development, Jagex said:
“2018 has been a year of significant milestones for Old School RuneScape on mobile, from the first closed betas at the start of the year, to the successful Members Only Beta and recent Canadian and Nordic soft launches over the summer, but none of them have been as highly anticipated as this. We are incredibly proud to confirm that Old School RuneScape on mobile is now just a matter of weeks from a full launch; we know our players – both existing and returning – have long wanted to play the game they love while away from their PCs. The countdown to 30th October is underway!”

Ever since a prototype of Old School RuneScape on mobile was shown at RuneFest 2017, the development team at Jagex has worked closely with the game’s community to ensure it delivers the same immersive living game experience, regardless of platform or device. Its top-level interface has been refined and optimised on mobile devices, including the introduction of a customisable, one-touch action button, and intuitive touch-screen controls. Featuring the RuneScape franchise’s trademark accessibility, players with devices running Lollipop (Android 5) and iOS 10 will be able to start or continue their Old School adventures across the world of Gielinor on the sofa or on the move.

The announcement coincided with the launch of Old School RuneScape’s 139th quest: Making Friends with My Arm, where players will assist the maligned troll ‘My Arm’ as he tries to establish relations with the troll town, Weiss. Mobile players will be able to help My Arm out, as well as experience the many thousands of hours of available adventures, mini games, and skilling activities Old School RuneScape has to offer, in just a matter of weeks.
